MARTY MADE BAIL and HAS BEEN RELEASED

With everyone's help, Marty made his $2,400.00 with $20.00 to spare.

Marty was arrested at 10:23 AM on March 26th. He was charged with “Aiding and Abetting MDA with the Intent of Helping Georgetown, SC, Area Residents with Muscular Dystrophy.”

The cuffsThe arrest

The Deputy took him into custody and transported him to JAIL!

Help! Away they go

Once at the JAIL, he was booked, fingerprinted, charged and LOCKED UP!

In Jail

But thankfully, all of Marty's friends, neighbors and business acquaintances came through. Once Marty was able to prove he had raised his bail, he was set FREE!

Everybody's donation toward his bail, not only set him free so that he could return home to Kay, but it will also help many area children and adults and help MDA continue the important fight against muscular dystrophy.

If you'd still like to help, check out his web page by clicking on the link below. There you'll find all kinds of information about MDA, and be able to make your tax-deductible donation securely on-line using your credit card.

Marty was not the only one arrested.

Over two dozen upstanding citizens of Georgetown were also arrested in a massive round-up. Together they raised over $32,000.00 for MDA before being set free.

MDA serves people in the Georgetown community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.

We sincerely hope that you'll take the opportunity to support MDA. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail us.

On behalf of the families MDA, thanks you for helping him “OUT”.
